Dr Shaimaa Elgayar is a specialist GP and family physician with nearly two decades of diverse, international medical experience. Since earning her medical degree in 2004, she has practiced across multiple countries, including Australia, where she has become a trusted and respected figure in healthcare.

In Newcastle, Australia, Dr Shaimaa has worked in various roles as a Career Medical Officer (CMO) across different hospital departments. She has gained experience in General Medicine and Medical Oncology at Calvary Mater Hospital, as well as in Emergency Medicine at both John Hunter Hospital and Tomaree Hospital.

With a strong interest in dermatology, particularly skin cancer, Dr Shaimaa holds an RACGP Certificate in Dermatology. She has also undertaken advanced training in skin cancer surgeries, including flaps and grafts, and is currently working toward full accreditation with the Skin Cancer College of Australia.
